Remember those no bake chocolate/peanut butter cookies that you used to make when you were younger? Full of butter, sugar, and peanut buttery deliciousness- they weren’t exactly the epitome of health (although I posted a healthier version here).
The other day, while still in pain from my 2 hour dentist appointment (ugh, don’t ask) the last thing I wanted was to have to chew anything (notice the lack of cooking around here this week as I’m still in pain) and so I decided to add oatmeal to my dinner smoothie. Um, life changing decision here- no, I’m not being dramatic.
This sucker tasted EXACTLY like those no bake cookies- you should probably make one immediately… like, right now. Why are you still sitting here reading this? Ah yes, you need the recipe
No Bake Cookie Smoothie
- 1/4 Cup Oatmeal
- 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 Cup Almond Milk
- 1 tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
1. Throw all items in a blender, add a few ice cubes
2. Blend, add more ice if wanted to get desired consistency
*a little bit of sweetener of choice (helps balance the cocoa’s bitterness)
