I grew up in a small farming town in Virginia, the “Peanut Capitol of the World,” and spent my childhood in my family’s kitchen. Most days I could be found cooking with my Mom or grandmother, and soaking up all of their recipe knowledge. From the farm I was off to Virginia Tech to complete a degree in Fashion (Go Hokies!) all while having fun with my Tri-Delta sisters (yep, Delta Delta Delta..)
I then left Virginia to move to New York City to pursue a career in Fashion PR but found that my passion for cooking, entertaining, writing, and travel would mean more to me than any party or fashion show.
I began to write, and learn photography, and write and write and write… Hoping one day to share my love of making life beautiful with everyone I possibly could..
Girl met Boy. They got engaged (while wearing flannel and cooking chili), married (during a hurricane), honeymooned (maybe we are still honeymooning?)
and the rest was history.
I am extremely passionate about, in no particular order; peanut butter, traveling, baking, cake of any kind, being happy, and following your dreams.
