Valentine’s {Mini} Strawberry Shakes

Well well well- it wasn’t even five seconds over and I was already planning out Valentine’s Day treats By “it” I mean the Superbowl of course (I cannot even talk about how terrible the commercials were).

I know VDay isn’t until next week but I declare this week “Valentine’s Prep” on YMC. That way you are all prepared for the party you will be throwing next weekend- and if you weren’t planning on throwing a big red and pink bash, maybe I can convince you? If you aren’t a party planner.. well, I’ve got a “look hot in your lingerie” workout coming up for you tomorrow. So it’s a win/win.

If you’ve been around YMC for a while you know my love for peanut butter, mason jars, oatmeal, pumpkin, cake, and anything mini. I think these little strawberry shake shots would be a perfect little dessert to round out any party.

The chocolate rims just add a little something extra- plus you just know I needed a vehicle for those insanely cute sprinkles that I found at Michael’s. {Dear Michael’s, my credit card called and it hates you. xo, Kris}.

Find the shake recipe and how-to after the jump, I really couldn’t get enough of these little guys. Although I really wanted to top them with whipped cream- I had no time to run out of the house before the game started. Yours will be much thicker looking- mine just melted a bit during the photoshoot. Whoops!

Mini Strawberry Milkshakes
white chocolate candy melts
tall, skinny, shot glasses
sprinkles
2 cups of strawberries, hulled
2 cups of vanilla bean ice cream
1 cup of milk
1 cup of ice cubes

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, heating for 30 seconds at a time. Once the chocolate is smooth and melted dip the tops of the shot glasses into them. Before the chocolate sets dip the rims into sprinkles

Allow to set before making the milkshake and pouring it into the glasses

In a blender, mix together the strawberries, ice cream, milk, and ice cubes. Blend until it’s at your desired consistency.
